We are honoured that the following senior leaders are members of our Advisory Council. They provide invaluable guidance, insight and ideas:

 
Andrea Blance
 
After a 29 year career at Legal & General Group plc where she held various Finance leadership roles, was Group Chief Risk Officer and led the strategy and marketing functions, Andrea moved to a portfolio career. She is the Senior Independent Director at Provident Financial Group plc and a Non Executive Director, Hargreaves Lansdown. She was formerly an Independent NED at Scottish Widows and Lloyds Banking Group’s Insurance Division.
 
 
Monica Burch, Chair, The Crown Prosecution Service
 
Monica was Senior Partner and Chair of the Board of law firm Addleshaw Goddard from 2010 to 2016. She is Lead Non-Executive Board Member of the Crown Prosecution Service, and was NED and Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee, Talbot Underwriting Limited. She was an NED at Channel 4 from 2010 to 2016; Director of charity Prime from 2012 to 2015, and was appointed a Recorder (Civil) in 2010 (a part-time judicial appointment). Monica is an NED of Shoosmiths LLP, of Ark Syndicate Management Ltd and of Argenta Private Capital Limited.
 
 
Niall FitzGerald KBE DSA, Chair, ofi (Olam Food Ingredients)
 
Niall had a 37-year career with Unilever, with over half this time on the Board and 8 years as Chair / CEO. He has also served as Chair of Reuters, Hakluyt & Co. Ltd, Brand Learning, Nelson Mandela Legacy Trust, International Business Council, the Advertising Association and the British Museum. He has also served on several Boards, including Bank of Ireland, Ericsson, Merck, Prudential Corp, the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, International Policy Council for Agriculture and Travel, and was President of South Africa’s International Advisory Council. His current engagements include Chair of The Leverhulme Trust, Chair, Hakluyt International Advisory Council and Patron, British Irish Chamber of Commerce. Niall is Irish and a graduate of University College, Dublin.
 
 
Sir Philip Hampton, Former Chair, GlaxoSmithKline plc
 
Sir Philip has been Chair of J Sainsbury plc, Finance Director of Lloyds TSB and was the first Chair of UK Financial Investments Limited in 2008, before leaving to join Royal Bank of Scotland. He was appointed Chair of Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2009. Sir Philip was also Vice Chair of the CBI 2008-2009 and was a non-executive Director of Anglo American plc. He was awarded a knighthood in 2007 for his contribution to Public Services, and was Chair of GlaxoSmithKline plc until 2019.
 
 
Mr David Roberts CBE, Chair of Court, Bank of England
 
David was Chair of Nationwide Building Society from 2014 to 2022, and Chair of Beazley plc, a FTSE 150 global Speciality Insurance business between 2017 and 2022. He has many years of experience at board and executive level in retail and commercial banking in the UK and internationally, including being Group Deputy Chair and Chair of the Board Risk Committee at Lloyds Banking Group and an Executive Director at Barclays plc. He is a former Non-Executive Director of BAA plc and Absa Group SA, and was Chair and Chief Executive of Bawag PSK AG, Austria’s second largest retail bank. David was Vice Chair of NHS England from 2010 to 2021, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Financial Services. He holds an MBA and Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Henley Business School.
